Continental DWS06 on 19" rims c450 pressure??
Anyone have these continental DWS06 all season NON-RF tires on the optional 19" rims? Just wondering if the tire pressure should be different for these tires than the stock summer RF tires that is listed on the fuel door? I'm planning on getting the same exact size tire as stock but just all season NON RF continentals DWS06.. Any recommendations on tire pressure for these on the 19" rims?

should be the same, only the max tire pressure for the tire might differ. I wish they made these for the 18 inch sizes. they only make a tire that fits the front, not a 245/40 18 for the rear
EDIT: they do make them but not in a load rating that fits the 18's. what gives

Shop set my tire pressure at 38 for the driver side, 37 for front passenger, then 36 on both back tires.

Did u leave the tire pressure uneven like that? I'm running 40 psi cold pressure.. They tend to warm up to 44 psi after a while.. Max psi for these tires on the sidewall says 51psi

That's the recommended pressure for them. You also want more pressure in the fronts (due to the weight of the engine) and slightly more pressure on the driver side front tire (especially if you are usually the only one in the vehicle).

I reset my tires to your recommendation or close to it... I see on the tire monitor screen 38, 37,36,36.. However they all go up by about 2-3 psi when I drive for a while.. How accurate is the built in tire monitor to the actual psi? Should I get a tire gauge or is the tps what you go by also?

-The PSI rating on the sidewall of the tire is the maximum pressure, not the recommended pressure. The recommended pressure will be what is on your door card located on the door jab just below the door sill. Those ratings are the Cold ratings and is what your car should read when the tires are cold.
-You can also look at the gas door which will usually list the Max recommended pressure when driving with a full load (1+3 passengers or over 100 mph).
- As you drive tires warm up and the levels shown on your dash will go up, this is normal. Just set the proper cold temperature PSI from the door card and you'll be fine. Excessive over or under inflation of your tires can lead to uneven tire wear, handling issues, stiffer ride, and reduced gas mileage. That said there is obviously a range, I run my tires 2-3 PSI higher on my W204 because at the recommended pressures I get more understeer which I hate.
I do recommend getting a digital tire pressure gauge to double check, it's always a good tool to keep around. Here's what I use just $10 . Usually in the winter as the temp drops so does your tires PSI. I went to the gas station and used my digital gauge to see what my PSI was at as I was filling the tires and I stopped at the appropriate level. Once you do that you'll want to reset the TPMS system via the Tire Pressure menu so the new levels are the base numbers and should it deviate it will alert you.

And this is the sticker on the door jam..
Drapperstyale, I think you meant to follow the fuel door pressures not the door jam which seems to list the fully loaded weight..
