C300 feels like it chokes on hard upshift?
Just venturing over here as I have a W205 loaner while my W204 is in the shop but was curious if this is normal. Under full throttle and in Sport mode it sometimes feels like the car barks or momentarily chokes while up shifting. Is this normal? I'm not sure if it's the rev limiter kicking in or something else. There is a loud sound with a monetary loss of power when the car shifts.
Even though, being a loaner, it's not well optioned I'm really enjoying the car. However, I'm not completely sold on some of the design changes. I'd like to pick and choose a few things between the W204 and W205.

Possibly, if the RPMs drop too much. But I'm rather used to turbos and have never seen anything like this. I may have been in S+ at the time.
Both times I was pulling out into heavy traffic. I don't usually make a habit of this myself. I'm also driving someone's future car. So I don't want to abuse it too much, lol.
It reminds me a bit of a fuel cut. But the barking sound seemed to have come from the back of the car.

the sound is a tiny amount of excess fuel exploding in the exhaust system. My two previous GTI's did it as well. AMG's do it, M's do it, fast audi's do it. the sound is meant to be enjoyed haha

Ah, that sounds reasonable. I had a GLI Stage 2 but it was also a manual transmission. Perhaps the slower shifting prevents it from happening.
Now that I know I will enjoy it.

I rarely drive my c200 (same engine but detuned) hard but decided to today and know what you mean OP, burping from exhaust on up shift and slight ******/shift shock/drivetrain shock.
Would sound nice with a louder exhaust... My BMW Z4 35i has an amazing noise compared, albeit a remap per has ruined the car to be a non starter now and I'm in a legal battle soon no doubt

I figured that.
What happened to the BMW flash? Did the ECU go bad or did it blow the engine?
Going by memory I think AMG pushes something over 350 HP out of the 2.0 turbo with a few upgraded internals.

They bricked the ECU and blame me as a Bluetooth call came in during the flash. I suspect a voltage drop as their battery booster wasn't working (none of this my fault) but it seems I may have to proceed legally as they deny liability which is clearly wrong.
