C450 tire pressure
My 2 cents: it is dépendent on weight distribution of the car. From factory, the C class is very front heavy (57%/43%). Therefore, you have to keep the front pump up way more (4-5 psi) than the rear because of the engine weight. Try the difference in the tire pressure (front at 36 vs 42) and you will see the difference.
Now, the run flat tires tend to need less internal pressure because of increase sidewall strength. Using the same pressure than non run-flats would lead to a very punishing drive.
For reference, you can also see that the psi vary according to where the load is distributed. More load in the front = more front pressure. More peeps and luggage in the back = pump up the rear tires.
Same as when going to the track, a car using 33 psi all around might be pumped at 40 psi to prevent excessive flex in the tires. That is my preference anyway...
My 2 cents,
