Back up camera with distance sensor alert
Hi folks,
Yet another question from me I was looking to get a back up camera installed on my 2015 c300. I called the stealership and they said that they don't do that and I would have to get it done after market by a audio/video shop and he confirmed that it would not void the warranty. I am not sure if that is true.
In any case, my first question is that are there any recommendations for a HD quality back up camera that has all the features in it like lane marking, distance marking and also a distance sound alert to tell you how far you are backing up from an object/person/thing, etc.?
2nd question - can anyone confirm if this would or would not void the warranty?
Thanks ya'll in advance for the tips/suggestions/recommendations/ideas

There are a couple of other threads out there about backup camera installs. I went with the Navitech unit, which was installed by my dealer. Its picture quality is the same as OEM, sometimes higher (I've noticed that the OEM cameras in different C300, E350 and E400 loaners have inconsistent quality, even if they're the same model). I have Parktronic, and that's integrated into the screen as with OEM. The only thing missing is the wide-angle feature.
The dealer never mentioned warranty issues at all, probably because there's nothing an aftermarket backup camera could realistically affect. I guess the infotainment unit it's connected to, but that'd take a really unlikely series of events to cause hardware damage.
