I have a GLE loaner right now that I just noticed has these. They are so terribly awesome. They are very bright and clear and so tacky. The GLE has the projector in the mirrors. My sister has them on her Evoque too. I really don't know how I feel about them.
This car also has the 360 camera which I am very jealous about. It's probably the single coolest show off option. Even my wife thought it was cool!

i didn't think I needed the 360 camera but when my configuration came with it, I cannot fathom my next car without it.

It's AMAZING!

Wiring for Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Puddle Light

For kicks, I purchased some puddle/courtesy/ghost lights for my GLK250. Unfortunately, when I popped off the covers on the doors, I discovered that there is no wiring for the new lights. The red reflector covers were just dummies/blanks/whatever.

Obviously, I should have checked first, but I didn't.

So...do I just return the new lights, or is there a relatively simple way to add the required wiring to the door?

Thanks,
Karl

My wife couldn't figure out where "the camera" was. I had her wave her arm out of the passenger window so she could see it on the sky camera. Chicks.

Great feature though. I'll never use the park assist but the 360 cam is worth the price of the package. Kind of like nothing in Drivers Assist is particularly useful, but Distronic is great to have. 360 cam, Distronic and Burmester should be available as stand-alone options IMO.

As for the puddle light:
I actually ordered some from ali even before i had my car... :P This is the result:

The lines aren't that sharp. Furthermore it gets really HOT and you'll lose the "red light" part of the puddle light as it only lights the floor and only has 1 light to do so. The red part cars/cyclists etc should clearly see when coming from behind that. On top of that: Fitment was not more than 'so-so'. So when i noticed these flaws, i just put these back in their bag.

I ordered different ones, which are original Mercedes lights. (part no A1668205900)
With this as a result:

Nice, sharp lines on the logo, still has a very clearly visible red part (this light uses 3 leds! 2 for the red 1 for the logo) and fitment of course is perfect, though a bit tight to install as the wires are very short. Would be easier to take of the doorpanel. I thought i had broken the light but it was only a connector that came loose and i could simply click it back on. Furthermore there is an actual heat sink on these lights! :p So no worries about one point getting to hot like with the aliexpress lights.

Feel/think how you like about these, i like them so i'll keep them on For those who don't like them, simply don't install them. Taste is personal and many people on forums tend to forget that. So instead of discussing whether or not something is good taste to add on (whether it be lights like these, spoilers, AMG badges or whatever... focus on the technicalities instead of taste.)
I'm confused. How did you get the 2nd ones? And they go in the bottom of the door?

Yes. If your W205 was equipped with the interior package, you have lighted door reflectors towards the lower inside edge of the front doors (instead of just "passive" non-lit reflectors).

All you would have to do is pop it out, disconnect the stock wire plug, connect the wire plug to the new light with the LED projector, then pop it back into the door.

Can you tell me where you got the lights and how much you spent? Dealer is asking for $319 USD.

Hi, i got them from https://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/

Just search for 'projector'

They cost between 130-160 euro depending on your model of car. they also have an AMG variant. But i think you'd have to ask them if they ship to the US.

Installed my OEM LED Projector

Installed my OEM LED Projector puddle light! It is much cheaper online than through a dealer due to installation fees.

Hopefully those expensive Mercedes Benz OEM projector lights don't use plastic logo film, which tends to fade after some use (mostly on the drivers side, since that door opens more often).

It would suck at that price.

I suspect Mercedes might be using some type of logo image suspended inside a glass lens to prevent fading from led heat.

This OEM GLC projector light looks like it has the same plastic logo tray as the ones sold on Aliexpress.

A gaggle of MB's
If you want the MB OE - (there are 3 logo's to choose from last time I checked like -1 -2 -3) certainly has brighter/cleaner logo's - these are "new" to USA and just added to Parts Dept listing.. check with your dealer - not-so-bad...
