I also removed my mufflers and replaced them with some magnaflows..
I have the base note magnaflow are known for, the gearchange rasp is alot better, the low rpm mild grumble is there and the deeper rasp is a little there under load and higher rpm.. off load and at lower rpm you barely hear it.. perfect for me..
IT DOES NOT HAVE THE METTALLIC RASP OF FOR EXAMPLE THE ARMYTRIX SYSTEM.. some like that.. i do 2 hrs highway cruising a day so its not right for me..
There was a tiny bit of drone at 2k rpm (100kmh) on the highway, but with liberal dynamat in the back end of the car thats 100% gone.. ie it was a resonance of the trunk / wheel well rather than a note of the exhaust so to speak..
I also had the flanges added to the originals if i ever want to return it to stock.. i could also get a striaght through tube made to bolt on on one or both sides.. but i have to say the current level is ideal for me...

This thread got me interested in an electric cutout system.

I am looking into a pair of boost activated dumps right after the downpipes. My only concern is whether it will actually be as effective as the stock system in keeping back pressure. Guys with monster turbos tend to use them to make big top end power. The cost is also up there. For a pair of cutouts, I can buy an AWE tack system.

I deleted the rear mufflers. and to those who are thinking of doing it, this is my input. it sounds a bit louder in low end , wen you punch it, it sounds really loud but not an anoying loud. its decent. is not the best sound dough.. and the drone is not so bad. or atleast it dont bother me much. i am going to purchase a awe track system.. i dont know if its me but i feel a little loss in back preassure, in the low end with out the mufflers. hope this helps anyone trying on doing this.

I did a muffler as well. Personally i love it, i think its sounds perfect for a daily.
There is some drone, but unless youre sensitive to it, it should not bother you.
I ran my car on the 1/4 mile before and after the muffler delete. I actually managed to get .1 seconds better after the muffler delete. this is probably due to other conditions, as its not a big difference, but you can be assured at least there was no loss in performance.

What size magnaflow mufflers did you get? trying to figure out OEM exhaust pipe diameter size. Thank you
