Any people with Black Artico/Dimanica Leather?
Hi all.
Just put an order on a C450 for the wife and we both like the sportier look and the red stitching (combined with the AMG steering wheel). However we haven't had the chance to see it in person yet... we're still looking for a dealership who has a car with that upholstery in stock.
So I'm wondering how it is in a day-to-day basis : maintenance, cleaning, comfort, etc.
Comments? Suggestions? Anything special you noticed?

Funny that you ordered that - I couldn't find a single dealer myself. I ended up getting the leather with red accents because if you stick with the Artico, you don't get Interior Package (which means no colored ambient lights, illuminated door sills, etc.)

I ordered this interior on my car too. Does anyone know if there is any ambient lighting inside the car at all? Is it possible to add it without adding the leather package?

I have a french specification estate with artico/dinamica upholstery. It is wearing very well as expected. The dinamica element is a faux suede and in french spec is an edge detailing between the centre seat panel and the artico bolster and shoulder, there is then a woven fabric on the centre seat and back panel. Dinamica is also used in the door onsert below the door wood trim and is very pleasant to the touch and is not showing any signs of dirt, marks or wear. It hoovers up nicely.

Picked mine up this morning with this interior - I had not seen it before ordering and I really love it! Not regrets at all!
Looks MUCH better in person. Feels nice and soft as well...
EDIT: In Canada there is no such thing as interior package - the Artico/Dinamica seats come with everything the AMG Leather seats do (minus the AMG Leather seats, lol) - ambient lighting for sure. It's my understanding that this is not the case in the US.

Finally got the chance to see it in person yesterday... loved it. I was worried it would look and feel too sporty for a Merc but it's not the case. It still retains a luxurious aspect while giving just a small touch of sportiness. Sold.
