W205 C450 AMG Touring Edition Exhaust

A bespoke exhaust designed specifically for the W205 C450 AMG, the Touring Edition Exhaust features AWE Tuning’s proprietary drone-cancelling solution, 180 Technology, enabling the perfect tone, minus drone -- delivering the ultimate mix of performance and sophistication. A direct bolt-on, straight-through design, the Touring Edition Exhaust delivers a civil, smooth soundtrack throughout the range while providing an enhanced in-cabin driving experience.

Sound Perfection: AWE Tuning 180 Technology®

As exhaust gases exit the W205 C450 AMG engine and flow into an AWE Tuning 180 Technology equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Learn more about AWE Tuning's proprietary drone-canceling solution right here.

It’s sophisticated and disobedient, all in one clean package, thanks to 180 Technology.

W205 C450 AMG Track Edition Exhaust

If you’re all about 100% rowdy 100% of the time, the Track Edition is for you. It’s known to get raucous in the mid-range and could be a little much for many, and for that reason, this system can’t be returned due to sound: so be ready.

The AWE Tuning W205 C450 AMG Track Edition Exhaust takes the engineered design of the Touring Edition Exhaust and replaces the rear AWE Tuning 180 Technology resonators with Track Edition straight pipe sections, delivering an even bigger dose of scream out of the suave sedan.

Awesome, is there drone with the track exhaust set-up?

The gains depicted are based on straight up bolt on correct? As in the ECU was not re-calibrated after the new exhaust system is installed?

Yes, sliq. Aside from the exhaust the C450 was otherwise bone stock and untouched, as noted on the sheets

The Track Edition is definitely more noticeable in the cabin than the Touring Edition equipped with our 180 Technology®. We dissected the 450's acoustics extensively to make sure we defeated the drone its motor was prone to emitting throughout the range.

Got it. Thanks Josh. Do you think catlesss downpipes are in the works? I imagine, the track exhaust with your downpipe set-up might allow us to hear those turbos a bit better : )

Well, we did obtained data on the 450's DPs during our initial evaluation. If you all show interest/demand on HFC & catless sections we would certainly consider developing them!

I have to say, I am really impressed, this sound better than I was anticipating. I also have zero complain about the pricing, very reasonable.
If I install the track edition, and then realize the in cabin drone is too much, is there a way to convert to the touring version without having to change the complete setup?

I think you guys should also develop a meaner looking exhaust tip and diffuser. Offer it as an option for people like me who would gladly spend the extra $$ to have the look match the sound.

Thanks! This is what we do!

Yes, as mentioned above there will be conversion kits available to transform the configuration.

Regarding tips, we're looking into it.

Hi Josh,

Very interested. I joined the forum because of your product (will have to present myself later...)

I've a C450 AMG (in France) since a few weeks.

So very interested in your exhaust but I'll have to keep the original one to put it back in place when the lease is finished. So my question is : can you tell us how is the original exhaust... in one part from the cats to the end or in several part. Because I'll have to store the original exhaust somewhere... and if it is in one part it may be a problem !

I guess your answer may interest a lot of other C450 owners here.

Thanks for your help.

Franck

Hey there, Franck! Welcome aboard. Glad to have ya.

Between the cats and the tips there is one break point in the mid section right before the diff. So essentially two pieces.

Is this system replacing the downpipes and cats too? I have seen photos of the c400 exhaust system and that one looks like a 2 into 1 into 2 system and this one is a true dual exhaust. I don't think I've actually seen what the stock c450 system looks like.

Our systems begin right after the cats.

C450 system is the same concept as the C400. See below.

We're not assuming, so we're in the midst of getting ahold of a vehicle for fitment confirmation. I will post the outcome once determined. Feel free to email me directly so I have your contact information
