Is $32,950 a good price for 2015 c300 4matic Sport with options

I'm about to purchase a 2015 C300 4matic Sport from a MBUSA dealer in cali. it has just under 29k miles, it was a loaner service car.

Obsidian Black
Cranberry Red interior with the leather seats
Sports Package
PP1
Mutli Media Package
Interior Package
Pano Roof.
keyless go
blind spot assist
navi.
18" AMG 5 Spoke wheels

I negotiated a price of $32,950 and curious as if you guys think this is a solid buy. It is not a CPO.

Depends on your area.

Car.com seems to pegged it at $30-$34K for 90210. Without a CPO warranty, sounds all right.

Sounds about right. I'm pegged around 37k for ~12k miles and CPO from the dealers in 100mi radius of me. I would suggest, if it is not a CPO, to get a manufacturers date after April 22nd, 2015. There are known problems before then. You can obviously get away with out one and never have problems, but in my opinion it is better to be safe than sorry. Enjoy!

Is there a way to check the date of manufacture with the VIN?

I'm from Saint Louis, Missouri so I am buying out of state and having it shipped. We are getting started on the paperwork Today. Prices around here are crazy 40k+. KBB has it between 38-40k so I think i'm getting a pretty solid steal. I have been searching cars.com/auto trader/ car gurus for the past month and have yet to find a deal this good.

Carfax is clean as it gets. I'm looking into the date it was assembled. Is it really this big of a problem if manufactured before april 2015?

IMO...yes. Knowing that C300's built before April 22nd, 2015 could potentially have internal engine issues (incorrect sized wrist pins), and could need an engine rebuild, I personally wouldn't buy a used C300 unless it was manufactured after that date.

I thank my lucky stars that my new C300 was built 5/15.

Damn... thank you for this information. That really hurts, especially at this price. The first entry on the Carfax was August of 2014.

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable having the engine torn apart & put back together again at the dealership level.

I also wouldn't feel comfortable knowing that an engine rebuild would show up on a CarFax come trade in time either.

I would never buy a loaner vehicle. Everyone beats it to the ground when they're given a loaner and God knows how many people have sat and fart in that seat after 32k miles...

To be honest you can get a brand new one similarly optioned for about $10k more which is nothing compared to what you will get, something spec'ed out to your liking and brand new with no problems.

I leased a loaner '15 c300 in february...negotiated price was around $34k, MSRP was just over $48k. Mileage was around 6500.

I would look for a better deal / different car.

it's 1k in the states to have them CPO the car for you. I would try and negotiate that down if you can. I would not get into that car without the extension.

My 2016 CPO with 17,660 miles, off a 3 year lease was $29,000. Sticker was $50,900. If you buy the 2015, what kind of warranty will they give? Owning a 2015 without a warranty seems risky at any price. Maybe looking further afield for a vehicle would help with the price.
