C450 OE Tuning reviews?

Hey guys,

I am scheduling to bring my C450 to the OE tuning guys to flash my ECU and wanted to know if anyone has done it in CA with 91 octane and if they are overall happy with the results.

Anyone not happy with the tuning in anyway?

Thanks for the help!

Is OE offering the best hp and torque gains?

I have to say I love mine. I'm in Louisiana and I'm about to send mine back for stage two.

From all accounts they appear to know what they are doing. They are local to me so that's where I plan on going to flash mine.

Since they're in CA, I'm sure they test with 91.

I'd like to know what a 450/43 could do with proper downpipes, full exhaust, intake system and tune...500 crank possible?

2016 C450 (no code 165 option..)
I do not think you could get close to that number without upgrading the turbos. They do not have the capacity.

OE is claiming 448hp crank, with no other mods. I would think that adding an intake system, downpipes and a full exhaust would result in some extra hp on top of that. Maybe even 'close' to 500.

Maybe, that would be great. I am surprised that there is no down pipe yet. Common Turbo mod

Post that in the AWE Tuning exhaust thread. Maybe if enough of us tell them that they'll manufacture one.

I believe the car would be close to 500 crank with the mods you listed with the appropriate OE tune.

Need to convince the good people at AWE to make some downpipes.

What happens if you have to go back to stock once you have their tune, how do you do that? IE; bringing in for warranty work, etc.

The tune is not detectable by service scan tools therefore no need to unload for normal visits. A suspect ECU would have to be sent to MB for analysis. In the case of something catastrophic, you would have to get the ECU back to OE to have your original file reloaded before towing to dealership. That reload should be undetectable by anyone. That scenario would only be required if for some reason your engine blew up and you feel in was unrelated to mods but don't want the tune unjustly blamed for the failure. Or, in the unlikely event that everything goes sideways, you might be out for the whole amount. If you want to mod, that's the risk you have to accept.
