PP Performance ECU Flash Review
Around the first part of May I starting going through the process of review regarding the different “chip” upgrades. I should mention, when I started this process I did not have any pre-disposition one way or another regarding a “piggy back” or “ECU flash (and still don’t). I liked the ability to remove a piggy back system but questioned the fact that it is “tricking” the computer. With that said I started leaning toward a flash for the ECU. I also talked to the dealer regarding warrantee and felt comfortable doing an ECU Flash.
After all was said and done I went with the PP Performance ECU flash. I went with them over RennTech, OE, VR & AMR for a few simple reasons. The dealer was OK with it, the performance #’s are slightly higher & I found no negative reviews. I might also note that PP Performance is not the most/least expensive. I would consider them on the higher side of the curve with RennTech but you can work that out with Golan…
Comparisons of a few:
RennTech:
C 400/E400 BiTurbo (W205 - M276 Biturbo 4-MATIC Engine) Modified Performance:
379 hp @ 5,800 RPM; 409 lb-ft @ 3,110 RPM
PP Performance
Stock HP: 328 HP / Stage 1: 395HP
Stock Torque: 354 ft lb / Stage 1: 412 ft lb
AMR
State 1 380HP & 405 Torque
I have found no negatives to mention regarding the process or the product. Golan was very easy to deal with throughout the process. I overnighted my ECU and they had it back to me right away. I have waited to write any form of review in order to give it some time. I wanted to make sure that no “gremlins” show up such as my dashboard becoming a Christmas tree.
Another reason for holding off on the review is that I wanted to get my car to a dyno unit (I live in SLC UT) but have not had time to do so as I travel for a living. This car is my wife’s daily driver. This is one of the big complements regarding the PP Performance setup. Truthfully, I do not notice any form of change in the ECO load setting. This could simply be because I NEVER use this setting. In Comfort it is quite noticeable if you put your foot in it and run the RPM’s over 3000. It does not affect the drivability of the car in any negative way.
When the Car is in S or S+ the tune really starts to show. 2800+ RPM’s and you will not question if it’s just the Placebo effect. S+ on the freeway is unbelievable. It is hard not to smile when you put the car under any load. It will put you back in the chair at 80 MPH. I actually noticed for the first time the other day (with the stereo off) that I could hear my Turbo’s pushing air when I punched it at a stop light. Makes me want to change the blow off valves & exhaust and I probably will…
Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks you to Golan @ PP Performance for making this purchase easy and worry free.

Has anyone actually bought and tested this setup for the C300? Was leaning towards either Dinan or OE right now....trying to sort them all out lol
Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank You....I am hoping someone has feedback soon. I am dying to buy something and get it tuned lol
I guess I am now leaning towards the Auto Talent PP or just do the Dinan if power output is the same?
As I posted in another thread it seems all Dinan does is increase boost pressure, and with a full flash tune Like AotTalent PP I am guessing/hoping many more tables are adjusted to help with the boost increase such as Spark, Fuel, cam timing, etc????
Does anyone know for sure if I am right?
Thanks Again....
