that's interesting, the pads on my 300 create zero dust - I thought manufacturers had figured out how to prevent excess dust by now
As noted, they make low dust (actually, less visible and less sticky dust) pads that are pretty good. Just usually not quite as good as the more performance oriented semi-metallic pads, which will resist heat and fade better, at the expense of dust and noise. That's why I suspect MB went with a standard street pad on the C300 and a more performance oriented pad on the C450, which gives great stopping, but lots of dust.

The Rejex will work slightly differently than the Armor All. It won't repel the dust quite as well, but will make it very easy to just spray off, plus will last longer.
Are everybody's C450 brakes squeaky? Mine have been since new... Bringing the car into the dealer tomorrow to address excessive tire wear and will be mentioning it at the same time.
Yes, mine are squeaky. Not terrible. I mentioned it to the dealer, the official response was that all AMG brakes are somewhat squeaky. Hosing all the brake dust out under pressure seems to help. Hopefully RacingBrake will provide the solution

2200 miles and it has a minor squeak at low speeds when i'm about to stop. I can live with it for now, but if it gets persistent, i'll take it in.

This is precisely what my service advisor said. He said I can brake really hard it will clear (not sure why I would do this on purpose on the road), but they'll take the pads off and glaze them when it's in next.
we need to change the status quo on the MB brake dust crisis. We need to be proud of it. Wear it like a badge of honor. It really is normal. I don't know why, I'm not an engineer, but benz's leave horrific brake dust like no other car i've seen. Look at any s55 amg it's not low quality and still leaves dust
I really don't think there's any correlation with high brake dust and quality of the pads. MB's, and especially AMG-bred models are engineered with performance over longevity. You can't have it both ways...
