Burmester Static Noise Issue
Hi guys, so I've been having a noise issue with my Burmester speakers. It sounds like a static noise and usually happens when you first start the car or in cold weather (seems strange but that's what I've realised). They also seem to be happening from the rear speakers as far as I can tell. Does anyone know what the cause of this problem may be and if any solutions are available? Make sure you check out the links below so you can hear it for yourself. Thanks everyone!

I have the same issue on my H&K and the dealer could not find the problem. Mine is a combo of a low whine and static. Our cars have so much wiring and electronics, I am surprised they don't make more noise.

There is very little potential for a ground loop or electronic interference in the system. It's fiber optic from the HU all the way into the input side of the amp (for that reason). Static likely equals bad amp, but your sounds like a blown speaker.

No they haven't. They assumed it was just a software issue. I will take my car to the dealership soon and let them know about the amp, wiring etc. Thanks everyone for your help!

Seriously as soon as something is even remotly odd take the car to the dealer and demand them to fix it. Your under warranty, if you cant reproduce your problem in another car its something wrong and should be fixed. (should be anyway but yeah you get my point)
Imagine when you sell it down the road and someone hears that sound? Its an instant price dropper!

Not much luck at the dealer. They were unable to pick up the noise at the time. However I am 100% sure the problem still exists, mostly in cold weather though. I took my car to the snow a couple of days ago and the problem came back. Very strange.

I have multiple recordings of it, but Mercedes tell me that unless they can hear it, they can't fix it. Very frustrating having to put up with issues like this in a current generation C Class.

I had the same issue but mine was much less severe. Intermittent, would happen with music and calls.
They replaced the amp straight away.
