Trading my '12 C63 for a '15 C400??
I have a 106,000km C63 that is starting to have some maintenance issues coming up.
My dealer has a nice '15 C400 with only 18,000km. Took a test drive, it is not as powerful and the seats do not compare at all, but besides that, the C400 is a nice drive and I would save about 300$/month which is not a big deal but still is money in my pockets.
Plus this is my last ICE car as I ordered a Tesla3 and plan to buy a Corvette next year.
The offer is tempting, would you do it?

Fix & keep the C63 until you get the Tesla (or the Corvette). Skip the 400.
It's 2016 (almost 2017); going for anything other than electric at this point makes no sense (to me at least).
I'm getting a Tesla as well next.

One last bit of info, the C63 is a lease. The extended warranty expires in march and my lease expires in 11months.
So I will need another car while waiting for the Tesla3. Best case for Canada is probably delivery in late 2018. So I'd be stuck without a car for 12+months. The C400 would fill the gap.
My head says it is a good deal, but my heart says the C400 will be boring. I could get a Golf R for the same money, but it is even slower than the C400. But it could be more fun to drive and easier to sell/transfer the lease should the Tesla arrive earlier.

You are defi in a pickle. I really don't know what a good solution for you would be.cot I were you I would probably bump all the way down to a c250/300 to save even more money possibly get a tune for it to bump it up a bit while still saving a lot of money compared to c63 and then do a 26 month lease and be done with it by the time the tesla is rdy.

the c400 is a great car imo its pretty quick and the interior is pretty nice and should hold you over til you get your vette

I had a 2011 C63 & a 2011 E63 before I switched to my 2015 C400 (the C450 wasn't out yet). It was a good compromise for a non-AMG Benz and the 4matic is nice, both for summer & winter traction! If you look at my other posts, I ran a 13.2 with the C400 bone stock & maybe 5000kms on it. I hit a 12.6 once with my C63 when I actually got the traction down, and then 12.9s when it wouldn't hook.... And if you want more power, just tune it.. I posted my times after just the tune... Same track, same temps... 12.2!!!
So this is also the quickest Benz I've owned! and my first non-AMG!
