Spotify automatically playing every time I start the car
So I've searched for threads and not finding a solution. It is driving me nuts.
I have my C450 set to sync to my phone via Bluetooth so I can play music when I want and waze when needed. What I don't want is to automatically have Spotify play the last song I was listening to every time I start the car (even when the app is closed).
Anyone know the solution other than switch to radio instead of media?
Thanks

Have you tried shutting the phone off and then turning it back on again after it's connected? You could also try rebooting the Comand system. This is done by holding in the CD eject button for a few seconds. The screen will go blank, then will restart. No data will be lost.

Try toggling background app refresh off (IOS)
Settings, scroll down to app.
Attachment 339020
Not sure it'll help but worth a shot.

So the car's BT is looking for the last track it played before it was suspended by shutting down the car, and that happens to be Spotify.
There's an app, EQu for Spotify, by Elephant Candy. It's primarily an equalizer that becomes your Spotify player. I'm wondering if having that 3rd party app in the signal chain might flummox the car's BT enough to prevent the automatic launch. (Also it's a great way to get much better sound out of the car's audio system). On the App Store for a couple of bucks.

For some reason it insists on looking for any media to auto start once it connects the bluetooth to my phone and recognizes it is in Media mode.
Just annoying.

I have Audio 20 and having same issues. I can have Pandora playing, turn the car off, leave it for a few hours, come back to restart car and Spotify will trump Pandora. There will be a ghost icon on my iPhone lock screen that shows Spotify wanting to start. And it will not play any music until I go into the app on my phone and hit play. Deleted Spotify and have no issues now. If I leave the car playing iTunes music, iTunes music will start right up and vice versa for Pandora.

My car has no issues seeing and pickingup EQU and also starts where i left off if the App is left open on the phone.. I always have it going through the USB inout (mainly to charge whilst its there ) as opposed wirelss BT.. unclear if that woudl impact it..
Summary, EQu works fine as a source etc..
