Electronic Trunk Closer
Hello,

I ordered my car without the electronic trunk closer, and now I realize it would be very handy. Does anyone know if it can be added after the fact??

I ordered my car without it. After 4 months owning the car, it is the one thing I wish I had ordered. Every time I am walking to the trunk with stuff in my hands, I kick myself. I personally don't think a retrofit would be the way to go. I'm just going on living like I always have, opening the trunk with my hand like a ****ing peasant. .

It is a great feature but mine has been operating intermittently. Sometimes it closes all the way, sometimes it doesn't and I have to manually push it closed. It will be at the dealer later this week.

It is possible. I've seen someone add it after fact.
But I think keyless is required (not sure)

I've seen it added after. most of the features can be added with oem parts and a computer settings change.

Hey did you get this sorted out. Mine is not always closing flush. I was told it was fixed, but it's not.

It was a simple fix. They replaced a connector (plug) that was loose and not making a complete consistent connection. It's worked flawlessly since.

Thanks, for mine they've had to order a new control unit from germany because it's only closing flush every other time.
