Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I am looking to buy a new 2016 or 2017 C300 with sport package. I've pretty much done my research but have a couple of questions and hoping that you guys can answer them for me.

1 - will the horn honk when I lock the doors or can I set it where it's only a beep sound? Asking cause on my current car I can set it for the horn not to sound and only a beep is heard when locking or unlocking the doors.

2 - I've noticed that the button to heat the passenger seat is on the door, so what happens if the person sitting on the passenger side exits and by accident turns on the heat for the seat. The only way I see myself turning off the passenger seat is to wait for the 20 minutes or reach over to turn it off.

It would be difficult to press those buttons by accident but even if they did it, no big deal. It's not going to hurt anything.

My lights flash when doors are locked/unlocked, no horn. If I recall correctly, there is a software selection for that.

Thanks for your quick response. So do you get an audible sound (like a soft beep?) for lock/unlock with the lights flashing?

Nope, just flashing lights.

1. On the big dash screen, go to "Vehicle", then "Vehicle Settings", then "Acoustic Feedback"...you can set you car to beep the horn when you lock, or turn the horn off just have the turn signals in the headlights/outside mirrors flash...which your neighbors will appreciate late at night.

2. With the ignition off, hitting the heated seat button will do nothing, and as soon as you turn the ignition off, the heated seats will turn off.
