Transmission Shock
Hey guys.
I have a 2016 C300 that I got on August.
Today there was a unusual situation where
I had to put the car in P -> R ->P-> D. and when I shifted to D the car kinda had a shock?. Is this normal? or go to the dealer and have it checked out?

Why did you have to go to park and back to drive? Were you on an incline or did you abruptly stop in reverse before engaging park? Can you replicate the jerking easily?
I would assume it's normal, that you loaded the suspension/drivetrain up and felt it release when you put it back in gear, but if you're very concerned, check it against another new car. These new electronically shifted transmissions don't like to be rushed, it's very annoying to me when maneuvering the car in the service shop or parking lot, but if you don't go slowly they get all jumpy on you.

Probably normal then. I think they are very jumpy cars in general, I move all varieties of them all the time and they all shift like garbage IMO.

The car is okay now. I did test it again just now. I talked to my local dealer about it and they say its a glitch.... I'm going to bring it in on Monday. Anyways thanks.
