Will the elite piggy back work with my AMR tuned ECU? I can't wait to put it on top of that and see what it does for more power!!!

Dinan, any chance the Sport has hosed my ambient temperature sensor? The OAT either freezes or remains at one temperature, then sometimes works properly.

Doesn't seem likely. Not on the same circuit. And even if they were, a direct short to ground would probably be the only way to cook off the sensor and that would definitely burn a fuse.

I know this is a shocker, but random sensors sometimes fail on German cars

Sorry for that, I couldn't help myself

man is that not pushing it????? seems like it could throw a code ? I once bricked my c7 after I wasn't paying attention and the car timed out w the tuner plugged in ... not one of my happiest days but I have a custom Tune in my c400 and i love it.The piggy back seems like it just gives a lil more boost , After reading the first 3 pgs of this thread & Steve Dinan himself said piggy back tunes where garbage, I went w flash love it....

Bringing back an old thread. Has anyone tried the Dinan piggyback on a 2019 E450 yet. Sounds like it should work since it maps according to the engine.

I had the Dinan on my previous E for awhile and generally liked it but the app was constantly crashing and just screwy so I ended up selling it and switching to the Racechip unit . Seemed to have more power and stable -,haven’t looked back

I’ll check out the race chip model. I think they have one specifically for the e450 too so I’m not guessing on whether it will work. I’d heard the race chips don’t do anything but maybe that was bad info.

Oh it works alright !! The power band was more linear and not near as jerky as the Dinan unit . I love it

So install is not too bad.? It connects to a wire harness under the hood.
