w205: How to increase number of blinks for turn signal
Hi,
Is there a way to increase the number of blinks (default 3) on single tap without visiting the dealer? Thanks

You're lucky at least they're being used. Round my way people wait until they're in the middle of the turn before they use them. I just go what's the point? They're just wasting them, it would be better if they turned them on after the turn.

Glad to see, I think, that Yanks aren't the only ones who need remedial drivers ed.

On my Camry, I was able to get the dealer to update it. But only because the manual mentioned that you can set it to anything from 3-7 at the dealership (that's the only reason they agreed to even learn how to do it). I checked the W205 manual and it does not mention that. Dealers of course are clueless.

3 blinks has always been perfect for me. It gives me just enough time to make a move. Perhaps you are taking too long to merge. I hate getting stuck behind the guy who take a 1/4 mile to shift lanes. COMMIT TO THE NEW LANE! It's like watching a old person ease into a hot bath.

Blinkers are an expensive dealer installed option in the Miami area so very few drivers opt for it. Instead they go with the horn on demand system. It works when stopped at a light and the horn from 3-4 cars in back of you begins to sound within milliseconds of a traffic light turning green. Very useful reminder for when your back seat driver slacks off or gets distracted

OMG!
Now I've heard everything! Seriously, is there nothing that someone is not burned up about because they can't customize it? This, in a vehicle make that historically has been endlessly mocked both for being over-engineered and for letting the owner know, "You WILL do it our engineers' way!" And in a model in which you have to turn off the auto-stop/start feature every time you start the car? (You want to read some owner rage, read the threads on THAT subject!)
