Activate it by indicating into the space you want to park in, then follow the directions on the screen. Shouldn't be a problem if there is enough room.

You also need to drive way past the car in front what you naturally think is necessary before the arrow comes up.

I believe it's always between two cars.
And DON'T use Parking assist when you are parking in front of or behind motorcycles, mopeds or even utes. The sensors are good at parking between cars but I had my bumper scraped by a ute and by motorcycle.

The sensors are up on the sides of the bumpers. They won't get a reflection from a curb. When you're traveling at low speed with your right turn signal on the car predicts you're looking for a parallel spot and begins scanning for gaps between parked cars. When it identifies a gap large enough to park in it asks if you want to start the self park sequence. I've used it once. It's touchy but it works.

I've only seen it done once and it was with the SA. I don't really trust it all too much and like kleinebin said, I'm afraid of curbing my rims..
Does anyone here use it every time they park or was it more of a gimmick?

So you get the P when you are at speed for the car to look for a spot you will get the indicator arrow next to the P when the car has found a spot. Once you get that indicator arrow stop put the car in reverse and the car will then ask if you want to start park assist by hitting ok on the steering wheel.
