Try a different dealer mine has been sort of a nightmare too. Find a dealer that cares about their customer feedback on yelp and then apply a good attitude with persistence.

Stuff foam into the following seams. Stop adding foam when you can grab the part, shake it and it doesn't budge or creak:

Over the tops of both outboard ac vents.

Between the gauge binnacle and dash top arch.

Between the COMAND screen and dash where the two meet.

On the door trim, along the thin upper seam between the trim panel and the top of the door panel.

On the underside of the door trim between the LED light strips and the main panel.

It took me about 30 minutes to do all of it. It won't be "pretty" from the standpoint that the foam tape, once the adhesive is exposed, is going to want to bunch up and roll in on itself as you work it into the seams. You won't see it as it'll disappear into the seams once you've forced it in deep enough with the knife, but if you're obsessive about that kind of thing the alternative would be to disassemble the dash and doors and lay the foam in nice and neat. Me, I just wanted the f'ing creaks to stop, because each time I hear one in my new $60,000 Benz a little piece of my soul dies.
Mike - any chance you can post (or have posted) pictures of the spots to which you refer? Hard to tell from your descriptions exactly where you put tape. I'm going to go through my car again this way and add yours into the mix of 100 other places I've already done.

It’s unfortunate but the rattles and squeaks have ruined the experience and enjoyment of driving this car. I love the styling and driving a Mercedes (as I have had several) but nothing annoys me more that listening to what sounds like a 70’s Chrysler rattle down the road. This is bothersome especially when I am paying top dollar for a luxury car.
In the crowded car market that exists today, one would think Mercedes would work tirelessly to resolve these issues and the other annoyances (such as apple car play and 3g internet) that most non-luxury cars already offer. Instead, like most companies today, they focus on short term financial success. This type of management destroys the brand as it becomes lost in a sea of “just averageâ€. The corporate management only cares about today since they’ll just move on anyway, the minute things head downward.
I’ve had my car back to the dealership twice for rattles and noise. Now, the sunroof, dash, and comand all still rattle. The headliner makes noise and the colder it is the louder it gets. The dealer claims the noise is normal and they don’t hear what I’m complaining about.
I haven’t given up on the brand but I can’t wait until my lease is up. Compared to my W204, I’m very disappointed with the noise.

One thing I recently tried is buying silicone spray from Autozone (for around $5) and spraying it all around the door and sunroof rubber. I did this after noticing that my car is pretty much silent when it rains and for a short while after. After generously spraying every single piece of rubber I could get my hands on, I would say like 80% of the rattles are now gone.

My dealer has ordered a new center console for me that they will be installing in a week or two, so that should hopefully help with the rattles from the front center, but overall HUGE improvement after spraying a lot of that lube on the door rubbers. I'm also considering buying felt tape and putting it on the car frame where the doors meet the body. I think this will help too.

Definitely recommend trying to lube up your rubber - no pun intended.

Was having noise from the passenger side. Turns out the cover for the interior cabin filter wasn't locked in place. I put it back on, which was sorta difficult, but it stopped that specific noise. I wish there was a way to take apart the entire car and just felt tape the entire damn thing.

Only 'rattle' I have is from the roof, and only with the pano shade open, and glass closed.
No noise with the glass vented or open, and none with the shade closed. Assuming it's something in the shade mechanism rattling & not glass/rails.

Will have them check it out when I schedule an appt to have the front end looked at (sounds like a wheel bearing issue there).

Finally taking mine in for the front headrest rattles. I’m hoping they have them in stock. Would be annoying to have to go back for headrest install.

Forgot about the headrests.
My driver's headrest has an intermittent rattle, easy to reproduce.
Passenger, not adjustable, seems stuck in the most forward position.

Took the car in today for headrest rattle. Rattle confirmed by SA. Bringing it in next week for Audio 20 update, door sill light, and headrest rattle replacement. I knew this was gonna turn into an at least 3x dealer visit.

Hi All - was following this thread as I was getting the dreaded "battleship" creaks from the doors and sunroof when going over bumps.

After doing a bit of research, found a permanent fix on the BMW forums using 3M teflon squeak reduction tape (that's actually what its called...) and thought I'd give it a try:
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1210175

I sourced two rolls of the genuine 3M tape from Napa (MMM 06356) which, apart from being significantly cheaper than the dealership, was also 1" in width - this width actually fits perfectly in the upper door channel and covers any area where the door seal and flocking make contact with body.

I also applied Mercedes Sliding Compound Lubrication Oil (A0009893660, which I believe is Krytox 105) to all the sunroof rubber seals, and the parts of the door seals that contact the tape.

Result - glorious silence (...except for a glovebox rattle that I can now hear...! Will be giving pcdsl's fix a shot next).

Hope this helps...

My driver's headrest was replaced under warranty for the rattle. Passenger is going to need a recheck for being stuck forward.
Am now getting some mild creaks from the sunroof over uneven pavement (body flex) that I am going to have addressed as well.

i just got my 2015 CPO W205 in may.

I have a loud creaking from the back, passenger side, when I hit bumps. Not sure if it's inside the door panel or rear speaker deck trim or loose seat.

Anyone had this one?

Unfortunately, I can't drive and locate the noise at the same time and my friends suck.

Maybe fold the back seat down & see if the noise changes? Partially unlatch the back door to see if that's rubbing?

Given that it's a CPO, if you're having it repaired by the dealer, make an appt & have the tech ride/drive with you to locate the noise.
I did this with my F150 when the pano roof had some hard to pinpoint rattles.

Sweet, I love FREE! I need to bring it in for squealing brakes. I should make a list.

Hey, you have the CPO warranty, take advantage. Rather than trying to troubleshoot & locate, have someone trained do the work for you.

BMWMB71 - If you lived near me, I could take you for a ride in my 2015 E400. After all the niggling little rattles and creaks I have, you would be happy with your C Class!

My problem is that they are all temperature-sensitive. At any given temp, only some of them talk. I've given up ever getting a dealer to fix them. In one case, with a front suspension creak, I demonstrated the noise for them, and they had the car for 5 weeks and couldn't figure out what to do. While they had it, the temps got warmer and the noise went away. Quiet all summer. Now that it is getting cold again, I may give another dealer a shot at it.

This car rattles worse than my 2001 LS430 did, even at 160,000 miles!

Oh, and I can't just turn up the radio because compared to the Lexus, the radio stinks, too. Oh, but that TT V6. . . makes it all worth it.

Did you notice if your driver headrest still rattled if it was positioned further out (at stop 2 or 3)? I have this with my passenger headrest where it is silent when it is slid outwards, but rattles when at stop 1.

I had my front headrests replaced last month. My passenger headrest had broken plastic pieces inside and the drivers headrest problem was the the 2 round pieces at the top of the seat.
I am now hearing a creaking from my pano roof. I’m pretty sure it’s at the back of the front glass. Gonna try this Gummi Fledge lubricant someone posted about earlier. If that don’t work I have a B Service coming up next month, I’ll bring it up to the dealer.

Negative, rattle persisted regardless of forward position. New headrest is rattle free.
