Solutions for some of these rattles and creaks?
#76
I had my front headrests replaced last month. My passenger headrest had broken plastic pieces inside and the drivers headrest problem was the the 2 round pieces at the top of the seat.
I am now hearing a creaking from my pano roof. I’m pretty sure it’s at the back of the front glass. Gonna try this Gummi Fledge lubricant someone posted about earlier. If that don’t work I have a B Service coming up next month, I’ll bring it up to the dealer.

GLC 300 Rear Rattle
I have a 2016 GLC 300 with a rattle coming from passenger side cargo area. I took this video holding my phone near the small window in the cargo area on the passenger side. Does this sound familiar to anyone or any ideas what might be causing this rattle?

Only 'rattle' I have is from the roof, and only with the pano shade open, and glass closed.
No noise with the glass vented or open, and none with the shade closed. Assuming it's something in the shade mechanism rattling & not glass/rails.
Will have them check it out when I schedule an appt to have the front end looked at (sounds like a wheel bearing issue there).

Last Friday I took my CPO c300 to the dealer for various issues including a small fuel leak in the engine bay and the annoying squeaking noise from back seat area, when going over bumps (right side)
The MB tech sat in the back while I drove over bumps. I heard the noise clearly, but he claimed to be unable to find it's exact location. Nothing was done.

EDIT: After doing some research, I now understand how to apply it.

You won't be able to get every inch of the pano roof seals, its kinda tight. I put some on my fingers to reach some of the tougher angles.

Is Gummi Pfledge similar to silicone lube?

"Nextzett Rubber Care Stick “Gummi Pflege” is a real standout product among rubber protectants because it is water-based and non-silicone. Silicone gives rubber products their shine but it attracts dust and dries out the rubber over time. Nextzett Rubber Care Stick protects the rubber under a safe, water-based formula that does not attract dust and it’s healthy for the rubber."

Does anyone have a creaking sound coming from inside the dash up near the windshield? I've checked / fastened /felt taped: the defrost grills, the center speaker grill, the screen, the plastic covers under the hood and it is still creaking!!! I'm taking it to the dealer in a few days but we all know how intelligence they can be sometimes. Last time i went in for a small thing they had the car all day and didnt fix it. Thanks

and here I got all excited when I saw someone replied to my post! and oh man I could go on and on about them. I think it should be a prerequisite for service reps to have owned at least a German car at one point in their life

Mine is coming from the passenger side near the windshield. When I go over bumps the trim (edge near the glass) is hitting the windshield and making a rattle sound. I can reproduce it by tapping on the steering wheel (with radio off).
I applied some pressure between the glass and trim and the noise went away. I will add some of this stuff (below) between the trim and glass. (You can stick two of them together if not thick enough.)

Surprisingly the dealer fixed the creaking sound in less than an hour. They released and retorqued the support bars that run diagonally from the strut towers to under the windshield. Of corse they blamed it on my aftermarket coilovers even though the noise was happening before. Whatever $170 and it’s fixed

Noticed a slight creak in my dash yesterday, fairly consistent as I was coming to a stop.
From trying to reproduce it, I think it's the motor/actuator or door for the recirculate setting.
Anyone know if the A/C defaults to recirc when the auto-stop activates & turns off the engine?
Now that it's warmed up quite a bit here, noticing a bit more sunroof noise, mostly right after closing it, before it's had a chance to 'settle' then it slowly gets less & less.
