C300 broken cv axle, inner part stuck Help!?

My front right cv shaft/axle broke while I was driving it, got the pain in the @ss axle nut off and I sliced the inner boot open and the axle after the inner boot just fell out. Now I have the inner part stuck in and can't figure how to get it out. Anybody else run into this, any suggestions?

Well got quoted almost 2k, and I ended up doing it myself for 150. Sounds reasonable to me. I ended up drilling holes in the stuck part and attaching a chain and it pulled right out.

Couldn't get a bar behind it? usually a good sized prybar will pop it right off.

Yeah that's what my brother in law used on the other side. Didn't have the money to repair them both at the same time and ended up having this one go out while driving. But I got this new one I'm and I'm guessing it was the axle because it's still doing the same thing it was before that made me thing it was the axle. It sounds like something is binding and grinding when I try to just move it a couple feet in forward or reverse. And it has a warning on the cluster saying ESPN unavailable check owners manually? I'm really hoping the transmission or transfer case (if that's what it has) didn't just fail or something.

2016 C300 4Matic traded in for a 2022 E450 Coupe
So you saved some money and now have a disabled vehicle.

ESP warning will have a stored code, see what it tells you before guessing at it.

Where does the sound come from? Can you narrow it down to one of the wheels? Could be something like a badly worn brake pad causing noise, or a wheel bearing issue that caused wear and is now disrupting the wheel speed sensors. Are you sure you didn't damage the sensor when changing the axle? They are fairly fragile.

Technically it was disabled before and the axle needed to be replaced anyhow.

I noticed the warning light after I got it towed home. The sound is coming from the right front of the car that's why I assumed it was the axle. Once I put it in gear and let off the brake lightly to let it it roll, it sounds like something is grinding and then binding the car to a stop. Then if I put it out of drive in into reverse or vice versa it sounds like some is moving Feely when it shouldn't be, and clanking a bit

4-matic car?

Probably your transfer case or the front driveshaft. Gotta get the car in the air and look where the noise is coming from. No point guessing at it.
