Experience with acoustic windows?

Does anybody have any experience with the IR and acoustic front windows in the 205?

Does it make a good difference in noise reduction?
Worth the upgrade?

I've had a c450 with the glass and my current c43 without the glass.. basically both the same car..I can't tell a difference between the glass..the only noticeable difference I have experienced is the build quality of the c43 is much better than the c450 and there are no rattles

It removed a little of the wind noise from my car, but its not dramatic. Side effect is that you hear more noise from other places on the car now. Especially road noise.

I think it is worth doing. The fix takes a matter of minutes as I watched a mechanic do it from an observation window. For me it has added around 10 mph until I now hear wind noise.

I don't know what's worse, wind or roadnoise. I don't wanna gain one thing just by solving a noter.

My dealer did the acoustic glass and felt insulation upgrade on my C300. I had very little wind noise before ... usually only gusts and crosswinds ... and it is somewhat quieter now. In my car, the level of road noise is also lower than it was before. I have no rattles at all so, overall, the car is actually reasonably quiet now.

Can anyone tell me, how i check if my car already has the acoustic windows?
My car is in my opinion fairly silent (but not quiet), and i always have the radio on.
In some extreme conditions i hear serious wind noise, but not too intrusive.
If i can get it better i can definetely try.
Mine is a C350e built in September 2015 in Bremen.

Just open the window and see if you can see 2 layers of glass when you look down the gap.

In my case it's an $700 option, so I can tell from that 😉

I still have time to get it on mine, but the car felt reasonable silent during test drive although it was on winter studs. On summer my only comparison is a BMW 320 touring on 19" pirelli run flats. So if the 205 is in any way better than this. I will be happy.
