W205 dirt (mud) under the hood problem!

I have this specific problem - there is a LOT of dirt under the hood, mainly on the left side. And my car only has 6000km on odometer. I bought this car in november - C200 4matic, AMG line. Showed this problem to my dealer, but they say it is normal (they showed me 4 different W205 with exact same problems). Still, there was a official recall campaign on W212, with EXACT same problem (seems they fixed it). I also tried writing official claim application (a month ago with fotos taken and sent to Germany offices) with no result.

Does anybody have this problem? Any ideas what may cause it? Any solutions?

Thanks.

Nope, but I rinse the engine bay every now & then with the garden hose when I wash my car. First world problem for sure.

My engine bay usually looks like it just rolled off the assembly line!

The best way I've found to keep the engine bay in tip top shape is to lease the car and never open the hood

Never had this issue on any car ... that's gross

is it as simple as the weather stripping is defective?

Perhaps you can place tape around the light unit access port edges in the wheel arches liners. Applied from the engine side..... likely the dirty water is entering via this direction from the wheels...

persoanlly I detail the engine bay every 3 months but it is very dry here.... just did it again a week ago....
and yesteerdays job was a wheels off wheel, brake suspension and underbody clean incl a calliper and toto centres repainted....
