Went down to Costco yesterday and got rid of my continental RF's and installed Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3's. It was hard to toss out tires with only 11K miles on them, but after driving the car home, I wish I had done it sooner. It has really made an amazing difference.

100% agreement with you. Was hard to say goodbye but was nice to say hello. Now that I have the the Pilot sport 4s I can't see ever going back to rfs the ride is noticeably quieter smoother and the handling is so much better. Now the final test is to get more than 12,000 miles out of them

Hi 49erPV,
Do you get the same size on 4 wheels or different size for the front and rear sets? Thanks.

I have a "base" 300 so they are all the same, 225/50R17. My main problem with the continentals, other then ride, was keeping them balanced. 2 were replaced by the dealer when right after I took delivery as being "defective". I had all four rebalanced several times and weights were stuck all over the wheels. Now there is only one or two weights per wheel. I had Conti's on my first MB 50 years and they were crap. When I saw these on my 300 I was hoping things had improved.

Thanks, 49erPV. I also have a base model, and P2 package. i have 18'' wheels and the front and rear tires are different size. The tires are Continenental. So far, it is quiet and the ride is decent/comfy. I don't drive much. I'll pay attention to what you say about the Continental tires. I also prefer the Michelin. By the way, why didn't you get the Michelin MXM4?

There have been pretty positive comments about the A/S A3s from members of this forum who have switched. The A3s also had a better warranty and lower price.
