Me app usage in Canada on c450
Hi is there any way I can use the me app here in alberta Canada for my C450. I can run the companion app without any issues . It would be nice if I can remote start the car .

Are you saying you have downloaded the app from the US store and are able to get some functionality out of it, just can't remote start the car? What are you able to do with the app? Can you send nav destinations to the car?
This is my biggest frustration with my new C43 - huge step down from my experience with BMW. I heard that Mercedes is targeting 2019 to bring this functionality to Canada. I don't understand why. Shows a lot of disrespect to owners here.

Yeah, just got my C300 and was trying to figure out why I couldn't use find this app in the store.
This seems to be the world wide site:

But when you click on the "login mercedes me portal" you end up here:

I was at the dealer to get my cargo tray liner this weekend and I asked about it, he confirmed that it is only in the USA. Somewhat disappointed in the brand... no Apple Carplay, no remote app, whereas the competition seems to have all of that covered in Canada.

You can still download the companion app from the US App Store and use it .

When you registered on Mercedes Me, did you use an address outside of Canada?
It also appears that you need a dealership to authorize the services, which I'm assuming my local dealer wouldn't be able to do.
I'd be really interested in learning how you got this to work in Canada.

Well to start with, the app is not available via Apple or Google's Canadian store... you'd have to go through a few steps to change your country in your personal info to USA. Second, the USA MB site does say that if you try to access the service from Canada or Mexico you may have limited or no service at all. So I imagine that even if you manage to install the app, you'll never be able to enable it. You need the mbrace Connectivity package on your car and I don't know about you, but the Canada site does not offer this option to purchase.
BMW does have the SOS button and automatic call in accident situations. Not Mercedes.

So I've got the Companion app successfully connected to the car, but I have questions.
When you send a nav destination to the car, where do you go to retrieve it?
Also, when you save an address in the app as a 'favorite', does that get synced with the car?

When you launch the app ad configure you car with blu tooth , you should get a status on your car screen if you want to authorize the companion app . Click yes , you search an address in the app and send to the car .
Status update... I got the app installed and working on my iPhone on May 31st. Since then, I have not been able to get the app to refresh car information. I don't see a refresh button and forcing a refresh by pulling screen down doesn't do anything.
Yesterday, used Google Map to look up a destination, shared it to Mercedes-Benz Companion app. In NAV system, went in destinations and selected to pull from Companion app... I get a black screen with an error message that it can't connect.

I was told by local Mercedes-Benz dealer this weekend that something is suppose to happen with MercedesME around next Spring for Canada.
