How to remove back of front seats ???
Does anyone know how to remove the back part of the front seats to access the bottom parts of the headrest prongs For the w205?

Good luck, every time I've seen them changed, the clips break off. We are always installing new ones so it's not a problem, but I don't know how many get removed in one piece, it isn't many.

How do you see them break often? Do you work at a dealership? Maybe I shouldn't attempt this unless I get some spare clips?

Yes, and we replace them often on the 205/222 for the map pocket elastic stretching out. Every one I see removed, the clips on the top tear off, they are wedged into the seat frame HARD and there's no room to work with the seats in the car, so they break on removal. Installing isn't too bad but it takes a special touch to do it. It pays almost nothing in warranty, something like .2 hours, but it's always a fight to do it without damaging anything else.

I've broken the bottom locks that the special tool is meant to release on multiple occasions, despite how careful I was being. It's like the plastic locks on some cars are stronger than others... It's a pleasant surprise when they don't break!

The dealership only sells the entire seatback. You could remove them and replace the elastic straps yourself, would have to purchase the elastic at a craft store or something, but the plastic clips for the seatback often break on removal.

What are the clips you say break? Could you point them out in the photos above?

Hello, I have removed the rear backrest of the front seats and now I do not know how to place it, I have seen the video on you tube but I cannot place it, it has two pins on the top but I do not know how or where to insert them.
