Winter Tires/Wheels for 2017 C300 with Sport Pkg
Hi Everyone,
I went through different threads but after all decided to post a quick note and asking the current owners of "2017 C300 (W205) with Sport Package about their experience on Winter tires / Wheels and if they could post a photo of their car showing Rim/Color and body.
Facts:
------
- 2017 C300 (W205) with Sport Package
- BLACK on BLACK
- NO TPMS
- RUN FLAT Tires meaning there is no spare tire in the trunk !
- Front Tire size: 225/45 R18 95H Continental
- Rear Tire size: 245/40 R18 97H Continental
- Sport Package has a bigger clippers
- I live in Toronto Canada and snow/ice grip/traction is very important
Questions:
-----------
- I prefer to downsize to 17 inches to have more rubber edge which makes it much easier to drive in snow and ice although you would feel a bit bouncing. so I went to few dealerships and they told me because of sport pkg I have to purchase 18 inches wheels! but people in here posting photos of their c300 with 17 inches wheels, did they face any issue ?
- what are the exact measurement of my current wheels ? I did not find it on the manual. the rear wheels seems a bit wider tho.
- I really want to go with Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80 but it seems they are not Run-Flat compliance
- What Wheel color should I go ? , how would it look like with Black rims ? anyone already put on a black rim on a black c300? picture pls

I have the sport package as well, same tires size as yours and the measurements are:
Front : 7.5 J x 18 ET 44
Rear : 8 J x 18 ET 49
Edit: I have what in Europe is called Amg pkg, don't know if it's the same as sport pkg in U.S.

Stay tune folks, it will come soon.
the actual Wheel fitments to be 100% are
18x 8 inches
Offset +ET 42
Hub 66.5 mm
5x112mm
enough room for calipers so no break hitting up risk.
Tires are on the way and will be Blizzak WS-80 as I drive plenty of times on snow.
will post the completed setup once its done

Looking good,
honestly I don't this the "Brake warming up because of big clippers" was valid on few of the threads and also what dealer told me, I believe I could have gone with 17" too as you can see on my photo there is much space for that.

Here are the completed project photos and info in case anyone is looking for new wheels.
My plan was to get a replica wheels which does not require any additional hardware such as spacer, bolt etc. this set is for winter time and had to go with same size on all 4 wheels/tires.
I did not downsize to 17 inches because of big brake clippers although it could fit but many people complain about overheating of brakes even in cold winter temperature.
Car is 2017 c300 sedan with sport package.
Original all-season wheels/tire specs as below:
Staggered
Front: Continental tires 225/45R18 95H /// AMG 7.5Jx18 inches H2 ET44 wheels - Bolt pattern 5x112
Rear: Continental tires 245/40R18 97H /// AMG 8.5Jx18 inches H2 ET49 Wheel - Bolt pattern 5x112
New Winter ready wheels/tires which means salt will not damage the wheels[ hopefully !].
Not staggered, for winter its best to get all all tires same size so the car performs better in snow.
Front&Rear: Blizzak/WS-80 225/45R18 95T /// FAST Innovation glass black rims 8Jx18 Inches ET42 wheels - Bolt pattern 5x112
UNFINISHED TASKS:
its really though for find a small center cap with size of 51mm , up to now I couldnt find any
