2015 c300 front bumper removal help needed

I have successfully removed the top and sides of the front bumper but for the life of me I cannot get the center bottom to come off. I have removed all the under belly pan screws (or I think so) but there is something in the center right under/by the chrome lip that isn’t budging. Am I missing something? I have followed the instructions on this forum to the T but nothing talks about this issue.

I am trying to remove the front grill and install the diamond grill. Please please help and any advice urgently is appreciated. I need to get this done tomorrow by eod! I am going to put it up on jack stands tomorrow and see what is under the damn thing and hopefully I can figure it out.

Thanks in advance folks and I am really hoping someone here comes through for this help!

There are two 8mm screws going into small brackets on the bottom, accessible after you removed the underpanels. One on each side.

Are they accessible only and only after the underpanels are removed? I have removed about 6 screws that hold the underpanel and yet the underpanel hasn’t come off/fallen down. I tried to slide it back and forth to come off but that isn’t also making it come off. Anything I am missing here?

By the way, do you know how to disconnect the electric connector on the right hand side behind the fender liner inside the bumper? I tried pulling, sliding, everything but it doesn’t come off.

Got it all done perfectly! Basically you need to put the car on jack stands to be able to do it and get the bumper off fully for sure! I got away without disconnecting the electrical connector inside the fender liner and just unclipped it (rotating it 90 degrees).

I will do a complete DIY tomorrow!!
