Where to felt?
Hello everyone,
I knew going into my w205 purchase that most of these cars have squeaks and rattles from new. Mine does a bit of a creak/squeak and it sounds like it's coming from around the infotainment screen and the metalling strip that comes from there and extends on either direction in the dash.
For those who have done it, where di you felt to solve your issues? was any disassembly required? I'm not very handy but I'd like to give it a try, my dealer is over an hour away.

I JAMMED Felt between the upper dash and the screen mount as it goes into the dash, on the passenger side. This fixed 95% of the noises

I stuck some felt in the seam where the plastic from the command base meets with the dash. That muffled something but I still had a "buzzing" rattle over light imperfections on the road. I was in the passenger seat while on the road and started pressing on parts of the dash.
There's a metal strip that goes around the part of the dash that is raised up, the part that has your 3 center vents. I wiggled that metal strip pretty hard and I felt it move, then click. The sound stopped immediately.
I am including a pictures with an arrow showing where I was pressing.

That's where I put felt yesterday too. Between that and wiggling that metal strip I posted above I cut the rattle/buzz 95%. I think there's some faint noise left, but you would not notice it if you weren't looking for it.
