I have attached an installation manual of the C Class W205 3 colors ambient light, anyone wants to install the ambient light to his/her car can check this manual for reference.
The instructions will instruct you step by step such as: how to open the door panel, how to install the light guides, where to find the sockets and connect the cables, how to activate the ambient light menu, etc... Complete instructions with pictures...
Any one want to install the ambient light to their C Class W205 can try it by himself.

Tools needed: T30 screwdriver, T20 screwdriver, 403 glue, crow plate.

Note: Our OBD can activate ambient light menu of car with original 8'' LCD, need to go to car dealers for coding, please note.

If your car doesn't have an ambient light package. is there a conversion kit available to have the colors work?

Be very careful with these aftermarket kits. First, this will void your MB warranty. Second, you run the risk of crashing your Command Center software causing a significant cost at a Mercedes dealer to reinstall. Definitely not worth the risk IMO.

I just installed the light

But on my center console harness, there one light left over. What is that for?
It is attached to the wire going to the SAM.

Had one left over as well. After extensive research, I found that it was for the cup holder area. My car came with the plastic piece missing

I got this plastic piece from a retrofitted center console. So I already have connected this.
But still I have a light left over.
Where, except from the 4 points of the center ambient light, did you connect?

If I remember correctly one goes to the center cubby.

Although this optical fiber pipe I bought must have been to a coupé or something.
It is about 80 mm too short to reach, but nothing that Locktite can't fix

Is it true that if you have the brown center console, you can't install the ambient lighting?

I've got an original used centre console that has the ambient light in it. I'm just trying to figure out where the wires would go?
