In case it hasn't been posted on MBWorld elsewhere, here's how crooks can steal your W205 in under a minute.
I've read about these kind of attacks before, but this is the first time I've seen footage of it. They basically use a repeater station to amplify and relay the wireless interchange between keyfob and car.
For those that don't know, If you touble-tap your lock button it disables the keyless go. A simple way to guard against this kind of attack. You could also put your key into a metal box whilst at home.

So double tapping the FOB lock button disables the keyless-go? I feel like I've done that and never had mine disable. Also, from what I am understanding here, once the car is started, it can be driven indefinitely without the key FOB? I always figured that the car wouldn't go into gear or would shutdown after it being so far away from the key.
Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhh, cause double tapping the button is just so gosh darn inconvenient! But dealing with insurance to replace your stolen car? Well that's a breeze

what' so freaking bad about dealing with insurance? you got a chance to get a new car with the options you regret you didnt get, you get a chance to get another color if you dont like your current color that much. you get a chance to get a newer model year car. what' so gosh darn bad about it ?
