Speed Camera's are more a Euro thing - where in Europe there are Internet Forums which assemble locations of Speed Camera's that you can download from those forums and load into your navigation as POI's.
To the OP from the Netherlands - please do a google search for Speed Camera forums - and check Garmin Map Pilot istructions if/how to load a POI database - sorry I can't be of more help - but here in the US we do not have the same type of Speed Camera systems.

by adding the command option you lose the ability to have the speed camera option. You also lose the ability to use CarPlay.

I tried https://www.scdb.info/en/plugin-garmin/.
Probably it works for Garmin devices where the POI are stored in files as *csv or *.gpx
In my SD of Garmin MB, the POI seem to be on a file with extension *.gpi.
In https://www.scdb.info I couldn't find the possibility to update a *.gpi file.

Yesterday I managed to install the speed cameras in on the SD of the Garmin maps V.10
I purchased the data from www.speedcams.eu. (25 euro whole Europe, one year free update)
The result is that on the SD card in the directory POI, I have two *.gpi files
(One the original and the second with the cameras data)
It took e some time to understand how it works but the email support of speedcams.eu was good and quick.
I went for a short ride. When approached a camera's, I got audio warning and a red bar on the screen.
You don't see the position of the camera on the road like in Waze.
That is the initial experience.
