My 2015 C300 Stereo stopped working today. It keeps saying Please wait... and never changes. All sound features are not working(Bluetooth, phone, radio, aux). Rear view camera is delayed but does come on eventually. Any one know how to fix this or reboot this glitch?
Thx

it's a Sirius Sat radio issue. I'm at dealer right now with mine. There was am update from Sirius and it's glitched a ton a vehicles media centers. They can bypass it at dealer as a Temp fix until they can rectify it.

For all those affected did you have a current Sirius subscription? I'm assuming Sirius only pushes updates to current customers.

Also, might be useful to know what level of Sirius subscription? I subscribe to traffic info only, no radio, and I haven't had this issue -- yet....

No subscription here. Never been activated in the year and a half I’ve owned the car.

RunwayOneSix 03-20-2018 02:10 PM

No subscription for me either. I don't have any problems with my system, but reading this and the other thread. Can't help but wonder if it's just a matter of time.

New theory, and possible temporary fix, on the related thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...t-working.html

MBSebas87 03-20-2018 08:42 PM

So this only affected Audio 20? Anybody with command units affected?

ItalianJoe1 03-20-2018 09:04 PM

The notice says specifically 205 chassis cars with Audio 20, I think COMAND cars are ok.

GrFa 03-20-2018 10:25 PM

I spoke to customer care on my way home tonight. They said at 8PM they received an update from the tech team that a fix had been made and it will be rolled out to all the cars by Thursday afternoon. No need to take it into the dealership as it will be sent directly to the car. We'll see..

Actually I got the same problem, active Sirius sub, and Command (2015 C300)

huyga123 03-21-2018 06:51 PM

My service Houston told me they received a note on Friday that Audio 20 issue but not to do anything and no solution. Now I wonder that I am driving the Mercedes or Corolla, why the famous brand name can't do nothing now.

Kahster 03-21-2018 06:54 PM

I don't have a Sirius subscription but have had the same problems. Here's hoping that GrFa's post comes true. Fingers crossed...

I have COMAND and not affected. I'm curious as well on this.

huyga123 03-21-2018 07:03 PM

I have the Sirius subscription, so I think that is point. Hope GrFa will come true. I spoke to Customer service, they said that will be fixed tmrw afternoon.

MB of Austin said the same thing to me.. to sort of wait for MBUSA to send the update. Waiting..

pete_w 03-22-2018 11:06 AM

I have an active subscription and have not seen any issues. Sirius made me a great deal towards the end of my trial and I basically was given 6 months of the biggest package for $5/month. I'll update if I notice a problem.

Jwmhb 03-22-2018 04:37 PM

I spoke with MBUSA. They confirmed its a problem only affecting 2015 C300 with the "base" audio package. They also confirmed it was a OTA satellite update (presumably from Sirius) that screwed everything up. (I have no subscription to sirius) They further indicated that the fix that they tried today did not work, so its back to the drawing board.

Strangely enough, I have no active subscription. I had like a trial one for 6 months or so, but never paid, so I am assuming they stopped.
How do they do the OTA update? Would it go thru even if the vehicle is turned-off? I guess some low-level code must always be running.

Well, part of the deal is that Sirius always wants to be ready to take you on as a customer. So as you probably know, your satellite radio works during promotional preview periods from time to time. (e.g. https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/...ding-road.aspx) So your radio is constantly being updated by Sirius to be ready to do these types of things, or just to be able to be ready to take you on as a customer. It appears that MB did not adequately ring-fence the code that Sirius runs on - to stop it from affecting the rest of the head unit.

Chef 03-22-2018 05:38 PM

My dealer told me today that MBUSA has a "fix" that disables the sat radio completely in order to restore functionality.

huyga123 03-22-2018 05:49 PM

Do we have any person fixed it yet? I was driving haft day without update from OTA.

Davodgd 03-22-2018 08:13 PM

Same issue here, talked to MB of San Antonio and still don’t have a fix...

TheeNando 03-22-2018 09:41 PM

So has anyone found an official announcement from Mercedes? Or this just quietly being pushed under the rug? Called a different dealer about the issue and they knew nothing about it. I imagine others are getting a bit upset like I am.

Chef 03-22-2018 10:15 PM

MB of Boerne is the one that told me about the workaround.

Paul_mez 03-22-2018 10:22 PM

Same issue. 2015 c300. I was assured by Mercedes USA that it was being resolved today with an update. Nothing happened. Called back and was told the update failed. It’s been a long week listening to one radio station and no phone hands free. Should have bought a Ford!
