Finished a weekend project and wanted to share a quick picture. Painted the calipers with high heat paint, new AMG logos w/ 10 degree curvature, and high heat clear. It’s a nice visual improvement. The car is dirty right now but I’ll have to get some full car pictures soon.
Looks great - did you remove the calipers to paint them or just mask off?
Thanks! Since I was going silver, I just masked them off on this one. I've done it both ways. On the w205 it is very easy to get a really good mask. The key seems to be good prep and good quality high heat caliper paint and clear.
Looks awesome and a clean job! Maybe you can write up a detailed DIY for the other folks on the forum? I plan on doing this soon but just not sure how to prep the calipers.
Thanks! In the big scheme of things, not much is involved. Here is the process:
1. Scuff them with fine grade sand paper
2. Soak them in spray 9, then wipe down, then mash everything off.
3. Spray several thin coats of high quality, high heat caliper paint. Hit it lightly with a heat gun between each coat.
4. Allow to dry
5. Attach decals
6. Spray several coats of high heat clear. Hit it lightly with a heat gun between each coat.
7. Done!
bro, you can get them for 9 bucks shipped on amazon.
Interesting, I've never seen them on there. I would guess they are not the same quality as oem. I got them from Europe from the same company who produces them for Mercedes.

That may be true but they are stickers at the end of the day. Longevity concerns should be addressed with a clear coat over everything after placing them.
