W205 C300 2015 4Matic Black AMG Package
Will this work with Audio 20 NTG 5.0 ? even if it says on the title and manual that its NTG 5.0, every other one being sold out there is always for the 5.1 and up and clearly say it wont work with 5.0, so this one says 5.0 but it wont specify it clearly anywhere and wont say if it works with 5.1 and 5.2 as well.
Any info on this ?

Yes would love an update on how this is going. An interesting upgrade - the one thing my 2016 C300 (with 8.4" COMAND) lacks that annoys me, is Apple CarPlay. Standard MB navigation is trash, and so is the Bluetooth connection.
This product has great potential, but if it's slow, does not connect correctly, has no audio, or even if the audio quality is poor - it simply won't be worth it.

For car with Audio 20 system(original 7.2'' screen), we will equip with an AUX USB adapter to realize playing sound in original speaker.
For car with Command online(original 8.4'' screen), the sound is come out through original AUX.
The Carplay, Android Auto and Mirrolink function should connect to USB(our device support this port), there's no wireless solution in the market so far as far as I know.

I've finally gotten this to work after quite a few problems. The first unit I received was faulty (no picture) and the second unit didn't support the speech function in Android Auto, which is the system I use (I have tried Apple Carplay and it seems to work just fine - guess the box is developed with primarily Carplay in mind).
Had some issues with a lot of sound distortion but that was sorted when the unit was properly grounded.
Still need to use the system a bit more before I can give a final verdict. I have "lost" the picture a couple of times where the screen has gone completely blank, hopefully this won't be an issue. But all in all OK so far.

If you have the smaller screen, you can get an aftermarket box. If you have the bigger screen package, there is no way to get Carplay.

[QUOTE=cphil19;7631606]Not true. I have aftermarket box in my C43 with large screen and Command system that adds CarPlay. Though I think CarPlay is really meant to work with touch screen. Using the command wheel gets to be tedious.

[QUOTE=jdubya01;7631700]Then you must have a pre-2017 as, to my knowledge, no after market components work on C-Class for multimedia upgrades 17 and 18 models.

I have a 2017 C43 with the multimedia package. It has the larger screen. I think most of the boxes that connect into the harness work with the multimedia package. At least pre face-lift. You can usually give the seller the VIN and they will verify if it will work or not. My box is from Uni-Chip.

There are actually three options. In no particular order....
SARDINCAR
https://www.sardincar.com/mercedes-b...x253-gla-x156/
NAVIPLUS
http://www.naviplus.com.au/online-st...AND-p101011608
UNICHIP.
I am trying to get more information on them all to establish the best option. NAVIPLUS is very expensive in comparison.
There is also a 4th option by using a radio from a newer year - but that is proving costly. Too costly for my taste.

I just changed from a 2011 Porsche Cayenne to a W205 C63S and had fitted what is essentially the Uniclip smartbox to the Porsche. It is a lot more convoluted install to the Cayenne because you need to intercept the screen (for the touchscreen part) and it needed a separate microphone for Siri operations. But other than that it worked brilliantly and was really good integration. Really gutted that I had it only for 3 months before swapping to the W205 and losing all CarPlay functionality. So what I can say is that the Uniclip stuff does work, its pretty transparent and functionally it works well. Its really not far of what native integration would be and with some customization options, makes it really powerful. For example, you can adjust volumes of guidance / Siri vs any media playing. Pretty powerful and really liked it.
Bought a CPO W205 though - so not looking to do anything for the moment. But if I cant get used to the Command / Audio/20 system, I will be looking to add it. My only concern is that the Cayenne is pretty easy to hide cables and control units. Really not sure how that would work in the Merc.

FYI - If you have Audio 20, it may be a very simply addition and less money.

My first unit had a noise issue with ECO ON/OFF. UniChip sent me a replacement unit that resolved the issue.
The only issue I have is that when I receive a call the users say they hear their voice echo. UniChip suggested using the original microphone they sent me, but I didn't want to remove console again. I just switch to bluetooth on phone when receiving a call. I leave my phone connected to Command using bluetooth even when using the CarPlay, it doesn't seem to cause any issues.
Their support is helpful and responsive. It is email exchange with China, so time to resolution can take a while. That depends on how well you can explain the issue to minimize exchanges.
