Strange POI icon symbols Comand
Does anyone know what it means when a variety of POI icons have three tiny square boxes projecting diagonally down from the lower right corner of the icon? These tiny boxes overlap, and the topmost has, I believe, a + mark in it. I have searched the internet for the answer, to no avail. Can someone please help me out?

The symbols are so small, it would be hard to get a good image without a macro camera.
Someone with the current Comand navigation will most probably recognize my description. That said, I will try for a decent picture.

Strange POI icon symbols Comand
Illustrates the mysterious three small squares that project from the lower right corner of many poi's, including gas stations, ATMs, shopping sites, etc. What do those little squares mean?

On the Comand screen, when you zoom in, the map covers less territory, but the icons stay the same size. And no touch screen to get more information. The 3-box thingy gets attached to all varieties of icons, and it is always three, so I doubt that the number 3 has particular significance. I would like to hear from other Comand users to see if they have some insights.

Jamado, I am going to guess that your navigation and mine are from two different manufacturers.
It amazes me that I cannot find more info about the 2019 Comand and who makes it.

Well, they are two system options for the 2019 C . The entry level navigation, which uses the sd card slot (replaces the Garmin) and of course, the COMMAND Navigation system. As far as I know, both are manufactured by MB themselves.

rustybear3, do you mean that MB designed the whole Nav program instead of farming it out to one of the major players in the nav business (such as TomTom, Garmin, etc)? I am totally amazed. I have the 2019 Comand, for which the learning curve has been a real experience. I come from a portable Garmin unit sitting perched on a sandbag atop my 2010 dashboard. I am gradually coming to terms with the MB Comand Nav, but I have to say I think the Garmin program is bit more elegant in design.
That said, I love my 2019 C300 (no AMG but lots of other options).
