Carfax, wrist pins and questions

OK, so I bought my 2015 C300 without having first done due diligence. That is unlike me, but here I am anyway. My cars production is 4/2015, made in US and offered for sale the first time on 4/27/2015. I ended up getting it from a Cadillac dealer in Virginia, who did not know of any past issues.

On my Carfax, you can clearly see that all service was done on time and properly by MB in Roslyn, NY. But at 11/07/15 with 3919 miles, there was an entry for Maintnence Inspection Completed, no other info.

On 12/03/2015 at 4290 miles, the entry states:

Maintenance inspection completed
Transmission removed and reinstalled
A/C Receiver/dryer replaced
Engine removed to complete repair
Battery cables replaced
Engine checked
Electrical sysem checked
A/C refrigerant charged
Alignment checked
Wheel(s) replaced

Is this a safe bet that the piston wrist issue was taken care of early on? Is thi9s what I should see on Carfax as a correction for that problem? Car is smooth and not hint of wrist pin noise at all.

Any ideas?

How did you dream up a wrist pin issue based the above stated information and two what was the engine number before 11 07 15 and after 12 03 15
If someone other that MB sold the car, the car was an auction car

I "dreamed up" the potential wrist pin issue that was corrected at 4k miles as I am unaware of any other common motor issues that would have necessitated the removal of the engine and transmission. Thus the reason for my questions.

How do I find the engine number?

Not all of the early engines need the wrist pin fix. Have a tech run it and listen to it and if they don't hear anything, you're almost certainly good.

It most likely sounds like the Wrist Pin repair was done. Maybe the dealership in NY could tell you.

My C300's build date is also 4/2015, and it did have the wrist pin issue. This was not caught by the dealership during the CPO inspection, so I personally would hesitate to believe that "engine checked" included looking for this problem.

I agree with one of the other comments here: take it into your local MB dealership to have it checked. You will need to leave it overnight so they can check it during a cold start because you can't hear the problem with a warm engine. Good luck!

Yeah, in my recent, limited MB experience, I do not see any other obvious reason that the engine and tranny were removed, but I think I will give the dealership a call Monday. There is zero noise upon cold startup right now, even in cold weather. Just wish it was better documented somewhere.
Every car model has their idiosyncrasies. For my Vettes it was the harmonic balancer. That was an issue for about 15 years on the earlier LS motors. But this time I have no documentation on what was done other than the Carfax.

Got hold of the dealership. It was like I thought. The wrist pin issue was taken care of at 4k miles. That's a good thing and a load off my mind.
