Yes, it's the same roof system on the 117/156, 205/253, 217/222 and now the 213. The parts are cheap and they fail, the bulletin just says to replace everything to avoid premature repeat failures.
It's not the rear corner that breaks. It's the part connecting it to the front. There is only one cable that moves down each side, it relies on a lever/cam system to lift the rear first as to moves, then start sliding the roof rearward after it lifts. If it's broken it can't lift so it can't slide. There is only one motor that drives the whole unit so it can't go past the lifting stage on the working side either.
It will take a great deal of force to push it open manually while turning the motor by hand, and even if you do, you only get the rear up, you still can't power it open/closed as the drive on that side is broken.

C CLASS W205 PANORAMIC ROOF missing the clips
Hi guys i have the c300 4matic 2015 and i have problem with the panoramic roof the side of driver missing the clips.
I bought them but it is very difficult to install i need your help thanks.

i had the w204 facelift 2012 and i never have any problem with my panoramic roof.
that problem is only with w205 and some more models to shared the same panoramic roof.

Hi. I have c300 amg package 2015 (not amg motor) with 22k miles, in great kept condition. Recently the temperature has dropped and it is 13 degrees. As i was going in the highway i opened the roof and it worked, which later on I closed it as I was driving. Fast forward later on the day, I try to open the roof. The shade opens, the right side of the roof lifts up butt the left side does not move as if its stuck, or the motor does not even lift the left side. As i proceed to open it , the roof does not open and stays in place because the left side of the roof does not move at all but the right side does but thats as much as it goes. from the outside it looks like it is tinted on one side and the other is stuck in place. I wonder what might be the problem? Is it stuck, it it bcs of ice maybe, fuse problem, maybe something stuck on the left rear side of the moonroof?? Any way to push it open without breaking?? I will try to get pictures. Please help

The other day I closed it but the driver’s side corner wouldn’t go down. The rest did, but the corner stuck up and the shade won’t close.
My husband pushed it down manually while I held down the button to close it so it’s closed, but I cannot shut the shade or re-open it.
It makes the sound when I press the button but nothing moves.

I have the same problem, but no ice/cold weather was involved, so I don’t think that is an issue.
I bought mine 3 years ago, and since I smoke, I ALWAYS crack the sunroof.
The other day I closed it but the driver’s side corner wouldn’t go down. The rest did, but the corner stuck up and the shade won’t close.
My husband pushed it down manually while I held down the button to close it so it’s closed, but I cannot shut the shade or re-open it.

Edit: PLEASE let me know if you fixed it or what was wrong. This just happened and I do NOT want to take it in if there is a DIY solution, you know how expensive it is to fix anything on a MB.

Just got my quote of $2900 to repair and replace parts but opted to close roof until I ready to pay for the repair. I suspected it would be pricey.

Im Having The Same Problem Left Side Of The Moonroof Opens But Right Side Wont Open I Had It Open And While Driving I Closed It , Next Thing I Now When I Went To Open It Again It Wouldn’t Open Completely, Just The Left Side Opens And The Right Side Looks Like Its Stuck …. What Can I Do ?

I have a 2016 C300 63,333K miles and warranty is expired. It is a CPO. How long of a warr are CPO? When did you buy the car? I bought mines in Jan 2019.

It's broken, thats why only one side is lifting. You don't have to like it, but we replaced them all the time at the dealership. Very common failure, cheap plastic parts in the rail assembly that get brittle and snap off. Hope all you want, then when you actually want to fix it, prepare for a big bill.
What do you guys recommend? Its out of warranty already and I rather try myself and fix it without removing the headliner. Maybe some dry silicone wd40 might help?
