I'm guessing you still use BCLauncher? Pull up the app switcher view (the square icon in SimpleControl) and swipe away BCLauncher from the list of apps. That's where the stock buttons in the bottom-left are coming from.

How did you get Apple CarPlay? Did you use a certain adapter box?
Also, can you please go to Android Settings and post a picture of the screen with all the versions? Should be in the "About" section. I wonder if your tablet has a new update that disabled Sound Enhancement.... If so, I'll hold off on updating mine.

i used the CarPlay adapter from the same seller. It opens CarPlay automatically when I connect my phone. A friend got the screen and the adapter from 2 different sellers and he had to open the CarPlay app manually every time he connect the phone.
Here is my about page

Gotcha. How's the general UI performance with the CarPlay box? I'm sure you've noticed that the Google Maps app from the tablet is pretty jittery and slow.
I'll check my version later today and see if your versioning differs from mine.

carplay box general performance is pretty fast. Better than the tablet because all the processing is done on the phone itself. Didn’t get to use google maps a lot , I’ve only installed the screen last night but yes. Not so fast and I’m sure it will get worse
installed my gps tracking and automation apps as well and will test it and see

many luck with the firmware ? Is mine the newer one ?

Does anyone else have an issue where the clock is completely wrong on startup? If so, have you found any way to solve it?
Got my new home screen all setup now, seems to run a lot better with this launcher than it did with stock one and everything is super easy to access

I probably won't get around to flashing the new firmware till next week.
I'd recommend just getting rid of the clock altogether on your homescreen if it bothers you. We still have a clock in the center console + the center screen in the instrument cluster.

I wish there is a way to remap the car buttons , I want to map my steering wheel sound command button to launch Alexa on the tablet
I saw some remapping options in the CarPlay app but it's a bit confusing

Awesome, thanks for being our guinea pig, Rami. So the performance is much improved with the new update? Less lag and stuttering?

Hahaha , You are welcome @RUNSGR8 , I didn't get to test it a lot but it feels snappier , one thing I didn't try and you might be able to help with , after the update I installed a couple of apps , then I checked again for an update and it said a new version is available ( while the USB drive still connected ) not sure if this update is done using 2 steps ( highly doubt it ) or it's just stupid and don't really compare the builds and just say they sound a new version just because it's on the USB , if you can update 2 times in a row and compare it would be great
