Hi guys,I have a question regarding the cell phone card. We in Germany have an issue activating the card for 4G data connection. We were already told to remove the pin from our card, but that won't help to initialize the data connection. The card has to be inserted just like show in the picture. Or am I wrong?

Wireless carplay
I was able to get wireless Carplay working using a dongle from Amazon. The only problem is that the audio from the head unit has significant tires. I believe it’s because of the cheap usb audio box. Anyone have any luck using some sort of tape to electrically insulate it?

Which CarPlay dongle(s) did you use to get this working? I have the same 9.33" screen and bought the CarPlay dongle from the same seller on AliExpress. However I can't get the screen to show anything when I connect my iPhone to the dongle (the iPhone detects the CarPlay dongle just fine).
I used this dongle:

Thanks, just ordered one myself. About your audio issue... have you tried playing audio directly from the tablet (not thru the CarPlay dongle)? That will help you determine if the issue is from the USB audio box or the CarPlay dongle. I personally don't have any issues with audio quality thru my USB audio box.

Yes, I have. I disabled the audio enhancements in the android settings. I’ve also, tried a couple different Carplay dongles. It seams to be a common issue, you’ll hear the hiss of you turn the volume on your tablet town, and the volume up on your car.
I think the Carplay signal is quiet by default so it’s a signal to noise issue. An easy solution would be to get the 9.33” scream to connect to the car via Bluetooth instead of the usb interface.
any ideas?

Unfortunately the update link I got back in Februrary expired after 7 days (well before I had a chance to actually download it onto my tablet). I'm still running the stock ROM version that the tablet came with and it's been working fine with the CarPlay dongle I got.

So I’m running the iOS 13 public beta which comes with a revamped carplay, which while it looks a lot better, the functionality is reduced. You can no longer use the trackwheel for any purpose on iOS 13 carplay. What this essentially means is simple things like skipping songs while driving now become an ordeal of keeping in your lane while lurching forward to click skip on the screen. Hoping that its a software thing so there may be a possible fix and not an incompatibility with the seller’s carplay adapter.

I had no idea I can update the carplay app. How do I go about doing that? Is it part of the firmware update (which I have not done, and would appreciate PM’d) or I can do it from the tablet itself?

Yes. From the tablet directly. Open an app called “ auto play “. Not sure about the name and I don’t have access now but it’s a green icon. Make sure your phone is disconnected. Scroll to the bottom you will see two buttons on each side of the screen. One for updating the app and the other for updating the CarPlay module

Hi guys,
I had my unit for more 3 months now and I've on fence about installing it. I wanted to ask those of you who been using it for it while on your feedback and whether it's worth installing it.
- what's your top tips and things to avoid
- can I program the amg logo like oem on start up
- is the resolution of the screen very clear or is there any pixelation
- thoughs on audio quality and how did u resolve the hissing issue
- can I install it myself or is it better to leave it to a professional
Ps. I am using a Samsung note 9
Thank you in advance!
