2018 C300 4Matic
Parking brake
I have a 2018 C300 4Matic with 3000 miles. I took the car to a dealer for two recalls - airbag light and adjusting the low beam. When I picked up the car, even though the parking brake light was not on, the car drove like it did. It took me a while to figure this out (maybe drove 30 miles), I stopped and pulled the parking brake lever and the car started driving normally. The dealership assures me this never happens. They say that as soon as you hit the brake to start the car, the parking brake automatically goes off. I am concerned about eroding the brake lining.
