M264 Wrist Pin Issue?
I have a little more 6k miles on my 19 C300 and I noticed since the temps dropped here in SoCal a loud clattery noise upon a cold start that goes away after about 5 minutes of driving. It intensifies as the RPM builds. I believe I have one of the earlier built M264's from the Nissan plant in Tennessee.
I thought being that this is a new engine design, the wrist pin issue would have been worked out. Could this just be a case of loud injectors? I would say it sounds very diesel like...

That's really interesting that your 2019 C300 would have the wrist pin issue; do you mind posting a sound clip or video of it?

Well... especially since the 2019 C300 has a entirely different/new engine...
"Despite sharing its displacement with the previous engine, the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four in the 2019 C300 is a new design. Armed with technologies such as variable intake-valve lift and a dual-scroll turbocharger, the forced-induction four makes 14 more horses than before, for a total of 255, while torque holds steady at 273 lb-ft."
Actually the 2019 C300 has more hp/torque/response that the 2019 E300...

I tried recording it but it's too faint to really pick up with a phone recording.... but yeah mostly like it's just loud injectors. MB could have engineered a tad bit more refinement in the M264 TBH.

It's engineered very/very well - to increase efficiency and to provide better combustion - the fact is fuel injection pressures are much/much higher than old tech - and with the electronic injectors - when the injectors shut that flow - the injection sounds from that is almost "metallic"
Your 2019 Turbo-4 is the very best Turbo-4 Mercedes has ever produced ... a whole bunch of fun !
