This piece of trim is peeling dealer is asking about 300$ to fix. they called it a stowage tray cover part # 205-680-34-07. is their any aftermarker or other way to fix this? I have included a pic
I doubt there is a good way unless you can find a sticker to put over the whole thing that matches. I will say it looks like damage from opening the center console by pressing the button and the finger nails catching the lip. Best to use buttons with the pad of your finger to avoid damage to them in the future. If you are handy, you might be able to handle this yourself for cheaper than the dealer even if you have to replace that trim piece.

Peeling “aluminum/chrome” has been an issue since the W204s. It was covered under warranty in my W204. I would guess it would be here, too.
This was pointed out to me by the service manager who checked all my door handles, steering wheel, trim, etc.
If you're still under warranty don't break your head over it, go to the dealer. I had mine replaced under warranty, they also did my window button that was pealing from underneath.
Yes - this will be covered under Mercedes warranty... if you check part# - it's MSRP under $70... actual shop time is like 20 min - "book time" 1 1/4hrs..which is where the $300 installed quote comes from... most dealers have the part in stock - good news "not many" go bad, but enough to be a issue..
