I was strongly thinking about painting mine yellow then MB sent me an email and it had the new AMG Coop with it's standard yellow calipers. I like it but now I'm going to go my original plan with white to match the car.

that is my one gripe about my C450 brake calipers.... they look crappy in their factory form, especially in the standard alloy color. i feel like with brakes THAT large, it should be mandatory they come in nice colors to make them really pop inside that wheel..... sadly, in my personal opinion, its too much of a pain in the **** to get everything off and get them powder coated. i wouldn't want to buy an entire new system just to change the color.

you are going to do that with the wheel on??! i duno man, i would be afraid to accidently touch the rim or something. i can see this turning out well if you took the caliper off so you can apply to every nook and cranny on the backside too. cool idea, but it seems like quite a bit of work to hand paint everything. i'd be afraid of getting paint on the rotor or something else unwanted.

if you are gonna slop paint all over the thing and get good coverage, i would imagine it might get into some areas.
sorry i am playing the devils advocate on this one... not trying to bust your *****.

Paint
If paint was strong enough to stop the rotors from grinding away they would've come up with a formula by now to do that. A couple of stop signs and the errant drops of paint will be burned off the pads and rotors.
* I just read on different post that G2 is nearly impossible to get off once it hardens...take your time painting and remove drips before it hardens.
