Is this wrist pin or normal engine sound?

I am nearing the end of my warranty for the c400. Planning to get extended warranty as well in Canada. I was reading about the wrist pin issue, let me know if this is it or this is completely normal. Also share your thoughts on extended warranty coverage. Thanks.

If I had some warranty left, I would want the service people to take a listen.

That sounds like normal direct injection noise. Wrist pin issue occurs on the Inline 4 M274 engines. Yours is a V6 engine.

This is what my vehicle sounded like. The dealership confirmed wrist pin and fixed last year.

C400 doesnt have a wrist pin issue. Only C300 with 4 cylinder motor had the issue on early years.
Noise is likely fuel pump and direct injector tick.
If you still have remaining warranty take it in for final look over.
There is a thread on things dealers have fixed on the C400, it isnt much that would require replacing but many complain about front axle click, though its not a failure just noise.

Thanks man! I'm thinking of getting the tune you currently have. It's piggy back right? I'm looking for honest reviews of experience with this mod. Any info on the value of extended warranty as well.

Curious about daily drive experience, ease of install and uninstall, long term safety etc.

I am hearing all kinds of weird sound I didn't use to hear with the car, but there's no performance issues or warnings. So i'm guessing it's fine! But I wish it was smoother!

Has anyone tried those gas/fuel system treatments on these cars ?
