New recall campaign - UPDATE POWERTRAIN CONTROL UNIT SOFTWARE
Just noticed that this was also scheduled with the next Service B for my C400. Anyone have further info on what this addresses?

The update just fixes an issue with the Service schedule indicating you need service sooner than you should. It doesn't provide any actual powertrain changes.

My 2016 C300 was in for a Service B today and they did a different Powertrain Module Update #2019030023

Where did you get that info JLR? I checked with the service tech and he mentioned something about driveability issues.

The "recall" regarding a real powertrain issue is only for 2019 vehicles and is under a different campaign than what the OP was asking about. I got this information directly from my Service Advisor.

Yes, the more dangerous/real of the two (engine could stall) only affecting 2019 models.

I just brought mine for the recall, and waiting to pick it up, might take a few hrs, all covered obviously. Still not sure what it’s for but I’ll keep u guys updated

Mine was updated while in the shop for rattles. Mine had three recalls/campaigns, but I don’t have the paperwork in front of me to detail what they were.
