JB4 tuning
So I've been doing some research on some tunes and I'm not quite ready for a flash tune but I want a piggyback tune that will open the car performance up. I've heard great things about JB4, but I'm not sure if its the one for me. I like the crackles and pops from the exhaust, if anyone got a tune like JB4 or some other piggyback tune, does it make your exhuast crackle and pop?

To be honest it's a mixed bag for me with the JB4.
The 2019 in the UK has a OBD check so I get a notification that Mercedes Me is malfunctioning when infact its fine so bear that in mind.
Performance wise I'm relatively happy, clearly much faster than standard >3000 rpm. Running Map2 but the custom tuning support was a little limited, they basically just said leave it on Map2 and you'll be fine. Some people who have dyno'd the 2019 seem to have less power than pre facelift and I'm not sure why but the full reflash people also have the same issues.
Also bear in mind, if you buy the Bluetooth adapter it doesn't include the app that you have to pay more for which is a little annoying.

The JB4 will add a ton of power and make the car a lot more fun to drive. Some minor things like removing the speed limiter and changing the exhaust tone via injection timing changes requires tuning aspects not possible with a removable system like the JB4.

I know that the fourth plug is needed only with some special gaz that I’m not going to use, but shouldn’t 3 plugs be connected or is two okay?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but having you guys here I need to ask a question. I had a JB4 (I think it’s a jb1, but the seller insist it’s a jb4...anyway) installed and when I took it off for some warranty work, only two plugs were connected and 2 were loose.

Would that be the same with a JB4? Meaning there’s no way that two plugs connected could be the way to go right? I wanna show them this when I go back to install it next week.
Hopefully it didn’t mess up anything having only two connected...

If you do something wrong you'll trigger fault codes. Beyond that not sure what you're asking, you can always email in photos to technical support if you need assistance.
